Zoe-perry

Perry has the father of actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances on television in the role of Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in Roseanne, an ABC comedy Roseanne. She was not allowed to perform by her parents until adulthood, as they feared the anxiety it could result in. Perry said that she was shy to act during high school, but started acting in theater classes at Northwestern University as a way to meet new people after she transferred from Boston University. Perry left for New York, where she landed small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The feeling of homesickness caused Perry back to California and theater roles were available. Her mother and she appeared on Broadway with her as part of The Other Place, in 2013. Perry was in the show with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 on The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in 9 episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017, Perry was a part-time character in the ABC political drama Scandal in which her father was the main character. She played an older Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off episode that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was an additional portrayal that was younger of her mother. The character was picked via auditions having a strong relationship with the show.
