Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actor, performer and songwriter for several years. Her mother was her primary caregiver in the USA in a place where she endured many racial taunts that made her feel like an unwanted person. It was in her ninth year that she started to feel more confident after being highly praised at an audition. Not only did it boost her confidence, but also her goals transformed. In 1992, she received her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. In the year 23 she began her career making her debut on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. Her most memorable break came from her role as The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the original Broadway version of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great appreciation for her performance. The following year, she was cast as Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her becoming more famous. She is a popular singer. she also has released a song and a play. Also, she's spoken out in support of LGBT issues.
